Dangers of Mewing : (English and French version) When I was a teenager years ago , I started to "mew" mainly to improve my facial appearance as I had a minor underbite and a long chin that caused me a lot of insecurities . So I searched some natural ways to fix it and came across the "Mewing" method. All the websites and youtube videos seemed to promote this technique . It consists on putting the tongue against the palate then applying some kind of pressure to maintain the position. This can cause ulcer lesions to the under tongue like it did to me and I didn't apply too much pressure (I had a tongue-tie) but even without this , if someone overestimate the lenght of their tongue and tries to do it , it can easily lead to the same damage.
